How to Change NAT Settings on a Belkin

The network address translation settings on your Belkin router permit network traffic to be sent through the device. If you encounter problems with connections outside of the network, such as through Xbox Live or a similar service, you may need to alter your NAT settings to allow certain Web traffic to pass through. You can change the NAT settings from the Belkin router's configuration menu in just a minute or two.

    Launch your Web browser. Type "192.168.2.1" on the navigation bar and press "Enter." Type "admin" in the Username field and leave the Password field blank. Click "Login."

    Click "Virtual Servers."

    Enter the port numbers that you need to forward for your device or software. Input a brief description and provide the IP address for this device. Set the "Type." Click "Apply Changes" to forward these ports through the Belkin router.
