Almost all of the mods available for the popular car racing game, "Need for Speed: Most Wanted," add new cars to the game. As with most of its predecessors, Most Wanted ended up with a large fan base and modding community, giving players many new cars to download and race with. The process is fairly simple, but you will need to have the latest version of the full, registered game to successfully use the mods.

  1. 1

Extract both of the archives you download -- the Ferrari 360 Spider Mod and the other car mod of your choice -- to temporary folders, ideally on the desktop or another easily accessible location.

  2. 2

Run the executable file inside the extracted Ferrari 360 Spider Mod folder. This will install the mod loader and also place a new shortcut to the game on your desktop which you will need for starting the game with custom cars.

  3. 3

Browse the folder that you extracted for the car mod you downloaded. Find the "cars_replace" folder and copy it to "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Need For Speed Most Wanted\Addons," assuming your game is installed in the default location. If not, replace "C:\Program Files\" with the location of the EA Games directory.

  4. 4

Copy the "Manufacturer" folder contained in the archive separately to the Addons directory. Not all mods contain this folder.

  5. 5

Run your game using the new shortcut on the desktop. When you start a quick race, you should see the new car mod you downloaded appear in the bonus section.
