How to enable zoom scroll map on google
Scroll wheel zooming can help users navigate maps. ( Images)

Scroll the mouse wheel on any Google map and the map will zoom in and out. Scroll wheel zooming is built into every map on Google's website, and enabled for all visitors to the site. By contrast, Google Maps that are embedded into other websites through Google API do not come with scroll wheel zooming enabled. To add the function to your maps, include an extra line in the block of each map's embed code.

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

  1. 1

Right-click the HTML file of the map-embedded page and select "Open With." Select a basic text editor such as Notepad.

  2. 2

Add "map.enableScrollWheelZoom();" (without quotes) at the bottom of the section that contains the map code, between the opening and closing "Script" tags.

  3. 3

Save the file and upload it to the server on which the website files are hosted.

  4. 4

Refresh the page to view the map with the zoom scroll function enabled.

Tips and warnings

  • If direct access to HTML files is restricted on the website, open the widget used to enter the original code and add the new line.
