LG, like most television manufacturers, includes a parental lock on its televisions that, when enabled, prevents certain television programming from showing on the TV. Television programs rated at specific levels of inappropriate content are blocked from the television so that children are not exposed to the offensive material. You can remove the parental lock from your LG TV so that you can watch the blocked channels.
Press the "Home" button on your remote control to access your LG TVs "Home" menu.
Push the down arrow button to highlight "Setup" and then press the "Enter" button, which is located in the middle of the arrow buttons.
Select "Lock" from the "Setup" menu.
Push the down arrow button to highlight "Lock System," press the right arrow button to highlight "On" and then press the "Enter" button. The password screen appears on the screen.
Enter your four-digit password using the remote control keypad. The default password, if you haven't changed it, is "0000." The "Lock System" setting switches to "Off" when you enter the password.
