Apple's iPad device can connect to the Internet through a 3G or Wi-Fi connection, depending upon the model you purchase, to download applications and media files. It can also connect to your computer through the iTunes program and synchronise with the files on your computer. However, before this synchronisation is possible, you must authorise your computer to synchronise with the iTunes store account on your iPad.
