The Apple iPhone is a smartphone that offers a touch screen, Wi-Fi, mobile apps, mobile e-mail, a mega-pixel camera, a video recorder and a media player. In addition, you can stream live recordings to your iPhone through an application called JumiCam. If you have a webcam and the JumiCam application installed on your iPhone and your computer, you can connect the two through your assigned IP address and Wi-Fi connection.

Instructions

  1. 1

Open your Web browser and navigate to jumitech.com. Click the "Download" link. Select the option to save the file. Double-click the downloaded file to install it on your computer. Restart your computer once you receive the installation completion message.

  2. 2

Connect your webcam to your computer through its USB cable by inserting one end of its USB cable into one of the computer's USB ports and the other end into one of the webcam's data ports. Turn on the webcam based on it's specification and make sure the power on indicator light is showing: usually, it's a small red light. Position the webcam to record the location you want to stream to your iPhone.

  3. 3

Press the "AppStore" icon on your iPhone. Tap the "Search" link and type "JumiCam." Tap the JumiCam icon once it appears to install it on your iPhone, and wait for the installation to complete.

Double-click the JumiCam icon on your computer. Type a username and password when prompted. Note the IP address JumiCam assigns to your computer. Click "Finish."

  5. 5

Tap the JumiCam icon on your iPhone. Tap "Add." Type your username and password as well as the IP address you noted in Step 4. Tap "Connect." You will now be able to view your streaming webcam on your iPhone.
