You can share a link with multiple friends while posting the link to their Facebook Wall. Normally, you would have to visit the profile for each friend and post the link on their wall. Luckily, there is a technique to post a link on multiple walls at the same without even visiting their profiles. The method uses the Facebook mention feature, that lets you tag a person in a photo, note or wall post.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Go to and log in to your personal account.

  2. 2

Go to the centre News Feed column on your default home page. Click the "Link" option on the Share bar.

  3. 3

Type or paste the URL for the external content you want to share. Click the "Attach" button.

  4. 4

Type a message to your friends in the "Say something about this link" text field box. After the message, type a single "@" to begin mentioning a friend in the post.

  5. 5

Type the friend's first and last name immediately following the "@" symbol. Select the name from the drop-down list. The name will appear as a clickable link in the post. Use the Facebook mention feature for each person's wall to whom you want to post.

  6. 6

Click the "Share" button when you are done typing your message and mentioning the names in your Link post.
