Folding a taco shell forms a pocket to hold the ingredients together. Ingredients such as meat, beans and a variety of vegetables are added to suit any individual's tastes. Soft shells for rolling tacos are traditionally made from corn and flour, and unlike the hard taco shell that is cooked with a fold, these soft shells lay flat without any pocket or fold.

  1. 1

Lay the taco shell out flat. The shell is a flat, circular bread. Place the desired ingredients in the centre of the soft shell. Pile the items to resemble a horizontal rectangle.

  2. 2

Fold up the bottom of the shell to cover the ingredients. Apply slight pressure with your palms, and tuck the edge of the shell under the ingredients.

  3. 3

Fold in the sides toward the middle of the shell. Hold firmly, and fold entire taco up until it's reaching the top edge.
