How to Add a Text Banner to Skype

Skype text banners appear below your name on your Skype friends' contact lists. You can use these text banners to link to a website or insert a message below your name -- for example, you may want to insert the message "I am out of town" when you travel. Businesses commonly use text banners to display websites or phone numbers. Add a text banner to your Skype name from Skype's File menu.

    Double-click the Skype icon on your computer.

    Enter the username and password associated with your Skype account. Click the "Sign In" button.
