Tumblr's popular blogging interface simplifies posts by allowing the user to select from a few different types of templates to quickly create posts for multimedia files. If you're just creating a standard post, or if you want to manipulate the code for the post on your own, you can use one of the specific Tumblr post templates to incorporate HTML tags, which can customise and embed certain player types into your post.

Locate the code for the player you want to embed in your Tumblr post. You may have to log into your account on the website, or you might simply be able to locate the code on the page for the content you want to share. This code will be enclosed in brackets. For example, a YouTube video will have a player embed code that looks something like the following: <iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/CKOXd6BM20g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>. Other sites will have a specific button to create and select a code for embedding into Tumblr posts.
Select and right-click the text. Select "Copy" to copy the embed code to your clipboard.
Log into your Tumblr account.
Click "Text" to create a new post.
Click the "HTML" button in the post toolbar.
Right-click and select "Paste" to use the embed code.
Click "Create Post" to share your embedded player on your Tumblr.
