How to Remove the Word 2007 Non-Commercial Use Title Bar

The "Non-commercial use" title in Microsoft Word 2007 displays when you receive a free trial for the software after purchasing a laptop or desktop that has the free trial installed. To remove the heading, you must purchase a license and register the software using the Office registration utility available in each Microsoft Office product.

Instructions

    Click the Windows "Start" button. Click "All Programs," then "Microsoft Office," then "Microsoft Word" to open the software.

    Click the Office button in the top left corner. Click "Word Options" to open a new configuration window.

    Click the "Resources" tab in the left panel. Click "Activate." In the opened window, type your Word license you purchased. Click "OK."

    Close the Word window and reopen the software again. Notice the title no longer shows the non-commercial warning in the title.
