Free or pay-as-you-go auto-responder services are available online that you can use to send messages to Facebook fans. Auto-responder services like Responders, AWeber and MailChimp enables you to create your own marketing campaign. For example, you can send out messages, e-mail newsletters and build question forms. You'll need to place a specialised script on your Facebook fan page, and when someone completes the form, he'll receive an auto-responder message from you.
Visit an auto-responder website of your choice, such as Responders, AWeber or Mail Chimp and press the "Sign-up" button on the home page. Use a free service like responder.com to create an auto-responder message. Various types of auto-responder services may charge you a monthly fee to use their services.
Type your full name in the "Name" field, or enter a user name in the "Username" field. Enter your current e-mail address in the "Email" field. Create a password and enter the information in the "Password" field.
Enter any other personal information that's required in the appropriate fields. Click the "Create My Account" button.
Build a question form with an auto-responder message. Follow the auto-responder's website instructions on how to set up a question form and create an auto-responder message.
Click on the "Get Auto-responder Link HTML" button.
Log on to your Facebook user account. Type your e-mail address in the "Email" field. Enter your password in the "Password" field, and click the "Log In" button.
Click on the "Homepage" button near the top of the Web page. Select the "Ads and pages" hyperlink from the left side panel. Scroll down the page until you see the "More Applications" button. Click on the "Browse More" hyperlink.
Type the letters "FBML" in the search box near the top of the Web page and then click the "Search" button. Select the "FBML"option. Click the "Add to my page" hyperlink on the left panel. Select the Facebook fan page where you want to add the static FBML. Click the "Add to page" button, and then click the "Close" button.
Go back to your home page. Select "Ads and pages" from the left side panel. Scroll down to the "FBML" option and click on the "Edit" hyperlink.
Create a title name for your question form and type it in the "Enter Title" field.
Return back to the auto-responder website. Left-click on the auto-responder HTML code and highlight the tags.
Hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and press the "C" key to copy the HTML code.
Return back to your Facebook fan page to paste the HTML code in the "FBML" field box.
Hold down the "Ctrl" key again and press the "V" key on your keyboard.
Click the "Save Changes" button.
