How to Reset a Samsung YP-P2

Updated July 18, 2017

The Samsung YP-P2 is a personal MP3 player that also plays videos on its 3-inch touch-enabled display. If your YP-P2 is not responding to touch or button input or if you're having trouble connecting your YP-P2 to your computer, you may be able to fix the problem by resetting the device. Resetting your YP-P2 does not delete any of the songs or videos stored in the player's memory.

Bend one end of a paper clip so that it sticks out from the rest of the clip.

Place the end of the paper clip into the hole in the back of the YP-P2, just above the USB connection port.

Push the end of the paper clip into the hole to depress the "Reset" button.

Any custom settings you have saved on your YP-P2 will remain intact after you reset the device.
