When a LG front-load washing machine fills, a valve opens on the machine and allows the water to flow into the tub. Once the wash cycle is complete, the water drains from the tub with the assistance of a pump. The water cannot drain from the washtub without the assistance of this pump, so if it goes bad, you need to replace it. Replacing the water pump on the LG front-load washer is not difficult, so there is no need to call in a technician to make the repair. All you need to do the job is a few simple tools found in most home toolboxes.
