If you have a plastic double-walled drink tumbler, you can customise it with basic craft supplies. Plastic tumblers, which are typically used for holding hot beverages such as tea and coffee, come apart so you can slide paper in between the two walls. Decorate the paper with any items you'd like, such as stickers, paint or markers. Personalised tumblers make charming gifts for the coffee and tea enthusiasts in your life.

Instructions

  1. 1

Determine the height and width of the tumbler using a measuring tape.

  2. 2

Cut a piece of construction paper to match the tumbler's measurements. Use plain white paper or choose a colour to complement a specific design theme, such as red or pink for Valentine's Day.

  3. 3

Decorate the paper, which you'll use as the tumbler insert. Write your name, initials or a special message, such as "I Love You," using glitter glue, craft paint and letter-shaped stencils or stickers. Create a collage by arranging eye-catching magazine clippings and gluing them to the paper. Allow the glue or paint to thoroughly dry.

  4. 4

Open the tumbler to separate the two walls. Wrap the decorated paper around the interior wall and secure the seam with a small piece of transparent tape. Slide the interior wall into the outer wall, being careful not to rip or snag the paper.
