How Do I Download Node Information for Gathermate?

Add-ons are mods that are used in World of Warcraft to change the user interface and enhance the gaming experience. GatherMate is an add-on that reveals the node locations of ore, herbs and fishing spots on the world map and mini map. The node locations are a separate file you download and import into GatherMate.

    Locate the "Addons" folder on your computer; it will be in "c\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons" if you accepted the default installation settings when you installed World of Warcraft.

    Navigate to the Curse.com website, and access the Gathermate2 Data page (See Resources section). Click on "Download."

    Click on "Manual Install" and Select "Open." Select "Extract all Files" under the folder tasks window. Click on the "Browse" button, and locate the "Addons" folder you identified in Step 1. Click on "OK." Click on "Next."

    Launch World of Warcraft, and log in to your account.

    Type "/gathermate" in the chat window to open the GatherMate settings.

    Select "Import," and select which nodes to import based on the gathering professions you have in World of Warcraft. Click the "Import GatherMate2 Data" button.

Tips and warnings

  • GatherMate has been replaced with GatherMate2. You will need to install GatherMate2 before installing the GatherMate2 nodes.
