MP3 players are getting smaller and easier to carry around every year, but not knowing how to properly wrap your headphones makes carrying your music with you harder than it should be. Not only does having your headphones in the state of a tangled mess inside your pocket take up more space than it should, it also makes listening to your music a difficult process. Keeping your headphones tangle-free makes listening to music hassle-free.

Instructions

  1. 1

Detach the headphones from the audio device and straighten out any existing tangles in the wire. Grab each of the speakers and hold them together while keeping the wires straight and uncrossed.

  2. 2

Grab the wire 3 inches down from the speakers and loop it around your palm and knuckles. Continue looping the wire around itself until you reach the final 12 inches.

  3. 3

Wrap 9 inches of the final 12 around the looped section of the headphones. Tuck the final 3 inches of the wire through the centre loops and pull the wire down tightly toward the speakers. The headphones are now neatly bundled in a compact, self-contained wrap and will not become tangled.
