The Mobile Equipment Identifier (MEID) number on your iPhone identifies the device on a wireless network. The number is 14 digits long and contains a manufacturer code and serial number. The MEID number replaces the Electronic Serial Number (ESN) for mobile device identification. On a mobile phone, you can usually find the MEID number on the back of the phone or below the battery. However, on an iPhone, you can locate the number in the device's "Settings" menu or via the iTunes application.
