How to Track a Mobile Via GPRS

Updated April 17, 2017

Many modern mobile phones, such as the iPhone and other smartphones, come equipped with an internal GPRS that allows you find locations anywhere in the world. This feature can also come in handy if you'd like to keep track of your mobile phone. There are apps you can download which will allow you to find your phone in the event it becomes lost or stolen.

Open the Internet browser on your phone and navigate to a site that offers downloadble tracking apps for your phone (see Resources).

Choose an app and click the "Download" button to download the app to your phone.

Open the app from the main menu screen of your phone.

Enter a username and password when prompted and follow the remaining prompts to set up your account. Note the username, password and website URL of the app.

Open your web browser and navigate to the app website in the event your phone is lost or stolen. Log on with your username and password and the location of your phone will then be displayed.
