How to get "Harry Potter" books on the iPhone

Updated July 20, 2017

Although a vast selection of eBooks can be downloaded on the iPhone, you wont find any from the Harry Potter series. J.K. Rowling, the author of the series, dislikes eBooks due to a fear of piracy and a passion for printed books which she hopes to pass on to her readers. Not to worry, you can still download Harry Potter novels to your iPhone in the form of audiobooks.

Tap on the "iTunes" application that came preinstalled on your iPhone.

Tap on the "Search" icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Tap on the "Search" field at the top of the screen. This causes the keyboard to appear.

Type "Harry Potter" in the Search field.

Tap the blue "Search" button in the lower-right corner of the keyboard.

Scroll down to the "Audiobooks" section.

Tap the blue link that says "See all Audiobooks" at the bottom of the Audiobook list.

Tap on the Harry Potter audiobook of your choice.

Tap the button at the top of the screen that displays the price of the audiobook.

Tap the button again when it changes to "Buy Audiobook."

Type your Apple ID password into the pop-up box.

Press the "Home" button to exit iTunes.

Open the "iPod" application that came preinstalled on your device to listen to your Harry Potter audiobook. If you don't see it there right away, wait until it finishes downloading.
