How to Clear the Cache for an Interspire Shopping Cart

Updated February 21, 2017

Interspire's Shopping Trolley creates a virtual store within your website or blog. Like many programs, the shopping trolley stores recently accessed data in a cache. When the cache grows too large, the shopping trolley slows and may freeze or shut down. When you clear the cache, you increase the load rate of the cart and improve the user experience. The hosted edition of the Interspire Shopping Cart costs £16.20 per month and the licensed edition costs £191, at time of publication.

Visit the URL of your Shopping Trolley. Enter your Username and Password and click on the "Login" button.

Click on the "Settings" toolbar. Click on the "Store Settings" option then on the tab that reads "Display Settings".

Scroll to "Cache Files For." Replace the number with "0."

Log in to Website Publisher 5.0.

Click on "Control Panel" then on "Settings." Press the "Miscellaneous Settings" section and click on the button that reads "Clear Cache". Press "OK."

Adjust the cache settings of your shopping trolley, if desired. Visit the Interspire Shopping Cart window. Click on the "Settings" toolbar. Click on the "Store Settings" option then on the tab that reads "Display Settings". Scroll to "Cache Files For". Replace the number "0" with the desired number. The number signifies the amount of minutes of the cache. For example, if you set the number to "10", the cart creates a cache for 10 minutes.
