Whether you are preparing to make a notice board for a classroom, decorate a child's wall or make a large poster, you can save time and effort by printing letters instead of attempting to draw or stencil them by hand. Templates for letters in various sizes and fonts are available all over the Internet, but rather than hunting through Web page after Web page to find just what you want, use your computer's image-creation software to quickly type up your own lettering.

Locate the image creation software that came with your computer. On a PC, locate and open the Paint program in the Accessories folder under Programs. On a Mac, locate and open the Paintbrush program.
Click on the letter "A" in the "Tools" box. Expand the text box that will appear by dragging its corners until it fills the entire image space.
Select the size and font you want from the drop-down menus under the "Text" tab. If the largest size in the drop-down menu is not large enough, manually type in larger sizes. If you want to print your letters in a colour, select a colour from the menu to the right of the font options.
Type the letters you want to print in the text box. When you run out of space, print the ones you have typed, then delete them and type more letters.
Create your own letters in the program by using the paint and draw tools to design your own alphabet if you don't see a font you like.
