The Dreambox 500 is a Linux-based, set-top cable and satellite television receiver used to pick up and interpret the signals sent from television service providers to show them on a connected display. Since operation of the Dreambox 500 does not require a PC of any sort, the initial set-up and function of the Dreambox 500 requires only a few audio/video cables, Internet access and active service with your local cable or satellite provider.
