How to Delete Recent Bookmarks When I Open a New Tab

The Google Chrome browser displays a list of recent bookmarks in the browser window whenever you open a new tab in the browser. You can hide these bookmarks from view by mousing over each one and clicking the "x" button that appears to close them. If you want to delete these bookmarks permanently, you can do this in the Google Chrome bookmark manager.

    Open your Google Chrome Web browser.

    Click on the wrench icon to open the drop-down menu of Google Chrome options. "Click on "Bookmarks Manager."

    Click on "Recent" in the left sidebar to bring up a list of the recent bookmarks. Click on a recent bookmark to select it, then click on the "Organize" link at the top of the page. In the drop-down menu, click "Delete" to delete the recent bookmark and remove it from the list of recent bookmarks that opens in the new tab.
