Many ranges, both gas and electric, have a drawer located below the oven. On many ranges this drawer is used for storage; however, some ranges take advantage of the space and include a warming drawer. The warming drawer is used to keep hot food warm while it is waiting to be served, and often has several available settings. The drawer is removable for cleaning, or to retrieve an item that may have fallen behind it. After the drawer is removed, it is important that it is reinstalled properly to ensure that it is easy to open and close in the future.
