Among the enhancements the iPhone 4 offers over predecessors such as the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3Gs is the ability to multitask, or to keep several applications open and running on the device at the same time. Using the iPhone 4's multitasking user interface, you can switch to a different application while you're searching YouTube for a video, then reopen YouTube and instantly land where you were when you minimised the application.

Double-click the iPhone 4's "Home" button. Slide your thumb over your list of recently used apps and tap the name of the app you wish to open simultaneously with YouTube.
Use your second app for as long as you want and for whatever purpose you'd like. The iPhone 4 retains the information you had pulled up in YouTube as long as its battery lasts.
Slide your thumb to the left when you want to return to YouTube. Doing so moves the existing app completely off the screen and returns you to what you were doing on YouTube before you opened the auxiliary app.
