How to Replace the Battery for a Piaggio LT150

The LT150 is a Vespa-type scooter manufactured by the Italian company, Piaggio. If you find that your LT150 is not starting properly or not starting at all, the issue could due to a dead battery. Since the battery is located underneath the LT150's seat, you will need to remove the seat to gain access to it. You can buy a replacement battery through online automotive parts stores and motorcycle accessory dealers or from your local Piaggio dealership.

Instructions

    Press in on the plastic tabs underneath the seat.

  2. 2

    Lift the seat off of the LT150 to gain access to the battery.

  3. 3

    Use a socket wrench to remove the negative terminal from the battery. Remove the positive terminal only after you have removed the negative terminal.

  4. 4

    Pull the battery out of the seat. Place the replacement battery into the LT150.

  5. 5

    Reattach the terminals and reinstall the seat by making sure the tabs lock onto the seat.
