The iPod Touch is a multimedia device that features a large touch screen used to control and access features. An external button located on the top of the device is the most common method of turning off and on the device. If the button isn't working, you can set your device to turn off automatically after a specified period of inactivity using the auto-lock feature. Once the determined amount of time has passed, the screen locks and the iPod Touch turns off.
