Colourful, nearly indestructible Tervis mugs and tumblers have been serving up Americans' drinks for 65 years. Sporting such decorations as flip flops, major league sports logos, favourite pets and smiley faces, they help drinkers enjoy their beverages of choice. Tervis, which allows buyers to trade in their glasses when the material gets worn down, also provides a cup personalisation service on its website. Make your own tumblers complete with a custom message.

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

  1. 1

Launch your Internet browser and navigate to Tervis' website at>

  2. 2

Click "personalised" at the far left of the menu bar -- under the colourful Tervis logo -- that runs across the top of the home page.

  3. 3

Click the "get started" link under Option 1.

  4. 4

Choose one of the Tervis tumbler sizes, from 284gr. to 680gr. If you're just experimenting with how your message will look on a tumbler, click any cup to begin. The options in boxes two and three will adjust.

  5. 5

Click the "Click here" link in box 4 for personalisation.

  6. 6

Click the "Script" or "BLOCK" button for the lettering style for the message in part 1A. Click the "Full Text" button, which spells out the name "Dave" in part 1B.

  7. 7

Choose a colour for your message by clicking a coloured box in part 2.

  8. 8

Type your message, which can be up to three lines of 13 characters or spaces per line.

  9. 9

Check the "Review" button, type the number of tumblers to apply this message to and click the "Add to Cart" button.

  10. 10

Create additional tumblers or proceed to checkout and purchase the tumblers.
