Inspect the power cord for wear or damage if the unit functions intermittently or not at all. A worn or damaged power cord can pose an electrical fire risk and may impede machine performance. Contact the manufacturer for a replacement power cord.

  2. 2

Replace the filter-drier if the unit becomes increasingly ineffective at removing moisture and contaminants from an automobile's refrigerant. The manufacturer recommends changing the filter-drier every 68kg. of recycled refrigerant. Locate the control panel on the front of the machine. Press the "Menu" button. Press the up or down arrow to scroll through the menu and select "Change Filter." Press the "Start/Yes" button. The machine will begin to clear the filter. Once the clearing process is finished, the panel will display "Turn Unit Off and Replace Filter." Turn off the unit and unplug it from the power source. Open the unit service panel, located on its side, and remove the old filter. Replace with a new filter. The manufacturer recommends using a Robinair filter (order Robinair #34724) to optimise continued performance.

  3. 3

Change the vacuum-pump oil if the unit suction power decreases. An oil deficiency can impede vacuum performance. The manufacturer recommends changing the oil after every 10 hours of operation. Press the "Menu" button. Press the up or down arrow button to select "Change Vacuum Pump Oil," then press the "Start/Yes" button to commence. The vacuum pump will process for about two minutes, emitting an audible noise. When the pump is finished processing, the noise will cease. Open the unit service panel, located on its side, and remove the plastic plug on the oil port of the pump. Remove the oil drain cap and allow the pump to drain into a disposable container. After the oil has finished draining, screw the oil drain cap back into place. Pour 170gr of vacuum-pump oil into the fill port. Press the "Start/Yes" button. As the pump is processing, slowly add more oil until the level rises to the middle of the reservoir. Press the "Stop/No" button. Reattach the plastic plug on the fill port.
