How to keep spiders out of your bed

Updated February 21, 2017

Spiders are often found in and around the home. If you are getting bitten by spiders in your sleep, it is time to find ways to keep spiders out of your bed. Spider bites may range from minor to serious, so take the time to keep these small pests away.

Move your bed away from the wall. Spiders and other bugs may get on the bed by crawling up the wall.

Clear out the area under the bed. If you use the area for storage, move your things elsewhere. Clutter gives spiders an attractive place to hide, and a clear area under the bed is significantly less attractive to them.

Put away your shoes and hang up your clothes. This further reduces the places spiders have to hide.

Sweep up any dead insects you see. Dead insects attract spiders because they are a source of food.

Vacuum the bedroom regularly. This consistent activity makes the room a less attractive place for spiders to live.

Set sticky traps near cracks in the walls and any other place you suspect spiders are coming in.

Things You'll Need
