How to Link Bloomberg to Excel

Updated March 23, 2017

Bloomberg is a financial services company that offers real-time and archived financial information. While Bloomberg utilises radio, television and a website, it also leases terminals, all of which track U.S. and worldwide financial and economic data and news. Using a special Excel add-in, you can access and import the vast amount of information available through Bloomberg into Excel.

Close Excel. Download the Bloomberg Excel add-in (www.bloomberg.com). Click the "Download" link, which will open a separate window. Click the "Run" button.

Install the Bloomberg Excel add-in. Click the "Start" button and select the "All Programs" option. Click "Bloomberg" and select "Install Excel Add-In," which will open a separate window.

Click the "Install" button and then close the window when the installation process has completed. Open Excel to view the "Bloomberg" tab on the menu bar.
