Graffiti began in the late 1970's in New York. To create a crazy sketch graffiti, open your eyes to the streets and get inspiration from all the free art work and graffiti that surrounds you. Traditional graffiti letters have been developed and graffiti can mean almost anything in today's society. Break the rules and sketch whatever comes to mind. Forget about symmetry and shadow, and create your own original piece of crazy graffiti.

Research different styles of graffiti. This will open your eyes to grasp inspiration for your own sketches. Check the Internet, the streets and books for ideas.

Pick a graffiti name that consists of five letters. Choose a nickname or letters that you would like to use. Once you have decided on your tag, sketch out your name on paper and experiment with the different ways you can draw it. Try sketching it at an angle, back to front and upside down.

Draw your letters in capitals in the center of a piece of paper. Leave space in between each letter to create your 3D depiction. Sketch one of your letters back to front. Outline your capital letters with a second line to create a bold shape. Now you have a guideline shape for your letters. Take each letter separately and create a different typographic style for each letter.

Sketch your first letter by curving all the edges of the letter to make it a soft shape. Sketch the outline of your second letter angular and straight. Continue the line of the capital letter and create a bold angular shape. Sketch the third letter to look pointy like wild-style graffiti. Change the shape of the letter so that it is slim, pointy and intertwines with the each letter on its side. Draw the fourth letter like a piece of spaghetti. Stretch it out so that it is much taller and slimmer than your other letters. Create your fifth and final letter following the shape of a letter of calligraphy. Draw the letter at an angle and make the lines curved and smooth.

Outline each of your letters and add a line of 3D using a black marker. Draw a diagonal line to the right hand side of each letter and continue the line by an inch. Your sketch will have no symmetry but this is a crazy sketch so it does not need to.

Color in your letters. Draw a straight line through the center of all the letters and color in the bottom section pink fading into a red on top. This will unite your crazy sketch.

Outline your whole drawing with a final continuous line.
