When you're invited to a baby shower, you'll need to bring a baby shower gift that the new parents can use to care for their new baby. Instead of buying generic baby gifts from a department store, make your baby shower gift more interesting by transforming it into a whimsical display. For example, you can transform a standard pair of newborn baby socks into a whimsical display that looks like colourful wrapped lollipops.

Instructions

  1. 1

Place two baby socks horizontally onto a tabletop facing the same direction and insert the end of one sock into the ankle of the other sock by 1 inch.

  2. 2

Place the bowl of a plastic baby spoon onto the left end of the connected socks. Roll the socks into a spiral around the spoon. Set the prepared sock lollipop to the side.

  3. 3

Cut a piece of coloured tulle to measure 6 inches on all sides.

  4. 4

Place the sock lollipop in the middle of the tulle fabric and wrap the tulle around the socks.

  5. 5

Cut a 6-inch piece of ribbon and tie it in a bow at the base of the sock lollipop. This will secure the tulle fabric around the sock lollipop and will hold the lollipop in place.

  6. 6

Repeat to make as many baby sock lollipops as you need for your baby shower gift.

Tips and warnings

  • Use pink tulle fabric for a baby girl and blue tulle fabric for a baby boy.
