How to Enable GoodReader on Mac

Updated February 21, 2017

GoodReader is an application available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch through Apple's App Store that allows you transfer files from a mobile device to a Mac computer over a Wi-Fi connection. Before you can transfer files, however, you will need to enable GoodReader on the Mac computer.

Tap the "GoodReader" icon on the home screen of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

Select the "Wi-Fi File Transfer" option.

Click the "Finder" icon on the Mac computer.

Select the "Go" option from the Finder's toolbar and select the "Connect to Server" option.

Enter the IP address of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch in the "Server Address" field. You will find the IP address displayed on the mobile device within the GoodReader application.

Click the "Connect" button to enable the GoodReader application on the Mac.
