The Yahoo! Messenger stand-alone chat client can save all chat conversations to your computer. The Yahoo! Messenger application inside Yahoo! Mail, on the other hand, saves all conversations to Yahoo!'s servers by default. You can chat with all of the same people in the Yahoo! Mail version of Yahoo! Messenger as you can in the stand-alone version. As long as you adhere to chatting inside Yahoo! Mail, you can read your saved conversations from any computer that has Internet access.

Tips and warnings
