How to use vaseline to moisterize your face

Vaseline is a popular brand name for petroleum jelly. Vaseline has innumerable uses such make-up removal, soothing diaper rash, moisturising lips and keeping your shoes shiny. Vaseline can also be used as a skin moisturiser. You can purchase and use a facial moisturiser at your local chemist to moisturise your facial skin. However, these products can be expensive and contain chemicals you may be allergic to. Fortunately, vaseline is cheap, has no chemicals or perfumes.

  • Vaseline
  • Tissue paper

    Wash your face thoroughly with a gentle facial cleanser and water to remove any dirt and other small particles from your face.

    Apply a quarter-size amount of vaseline on your palms. Rub your palms together and spread evenly all over your face in a circular motion.

    Apply a small amount of vaseline to your lips to keep them moist especially during cold weather.

    Leave the vaseline on your face overnight and wash out thoroughly in the morning.
