An eboot file is present in all PlayStation games. The file has important code for the game to run. It also contains the code that shows the game ID. The game ID is used to match the game with items such as game saves on the memory card. If the memory card ID does not match the game save ID, the save will not load. A freeware program can be used to change the Game ID of the eboot.
