The dotted border lines in Adobe Illustrator define a crop area within an image. Elements of the image that are outside of the border line will be cropped out. Elements within the border line stays. You can remove the dotted border line by deleting the crop area. Please note that you may require administrative rights on certain images to perform these edits.
