How to Connect a MacBook to a Projector With USB

Digital projectors use the USB port to connect your laptop so that the projector's remote can perform mouse functions on your computer. This feature can be useful for giving presentations so you do not have to stand directly next to the computer the entire time. Unlike the other ports on the projector, the USB port is not used to transfer video from your MacBook to the projector's screen.

    Plug one side of the USB cable into the port on the projector.

    Connect the other side of the USB cable into an open USB port on the side of your MacBook.
