One way is to start an online chat with a customer service representative through the HP website. Another way is to call HP's customer support line using its free 800 number. Visit the HP Customer Service website at HP.com.
Click the "Chat with an online support technician after you buy" link.
Select "Printers and Multifunction" from the list under "Select your product," then choose between "Multifunction and All-in-One" or just regular "Printers."
Click the link that best describes the product line your printer belongs to, then click your printer's model name and number.
Enter your printer's serial number and product number into the provided fields, then click "Submit." If your product is under warranty, an online chat will start with HP's Customer Service department.
Call HP's Customer Support line if you have problems with the chat or prefer to speak over the phone rather than online. The number is 800-474-6836.
