How to Make an IMVU Layout on Wix

Updated November 21, 2016

Millions of users have joined IMVU, an online community offering live chat rooms that link people all around the world. Every user gets her own customisable profile. IMVU includes a lot of style options for those who want to make their pages unique, but some chatters may want to make their profiles really stand out. If you've got a Wix website you want to display on your IMVU profile, all you need is a simple HTML code.

Sign up for a fee Wix account at the website. Use the site's online layouts and editor to create a website.

Select the "Save" option to save your website, and preview it. Highlight the URL of the site and hit Ctrl-Insert to copy it. The URL may be changed through the "settings" option under the "File" menu.

Paste the URL into Notepad or Wordpad with Shift-Insert.

Log into your IMVU account. If you do not have an existing IMVU account, you may sign up for one with a valid e-mail address.

Go to your profile page by clicking on your user name in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Locate the "My URL" panel on your profile page. If this panel is not visible, click the "Account" link near the top right corner of the page, and make the panel visible under Panel Visibility Settings.

Select "Edit custom HTML/CSS" from the Edit pull-down menu. The menu looks like a grey button in the top right corner of the "My URL" panel.

Enter the following code into the text box:

Highlight the URL you copied in Step 2 and hit Crtl-Insert to copy it to your clipboard. Return to your IMVU profile and replace WIXPAGE with the URL in the code you entered. The adjusted code will look something like this:

Click the "Save" button near the bottom of the panel, and reload your page to view the results.

The height and width values in the iFrame code may be adjusted. The height and width of your Wix website may be adjusted through the Wix editor.
