The Artisteer program is a simple drag-and-drop designer capable of producing website templates for sites built with Wordpress, Joomla! and Drupal (versions 5, 6 and 7). By default, Artisteer is programmed to include a footer note with a link pointing back to the Artisteer website. If you do not want your template to include such a link, you can easily remove it through the Artisteer options panel.

Instructions

  1. 1

Open the Artisteer template you want to disable the footer link on. Click on the "File" button.

  2. 2

    Select "Export," then "Export Options."

  3. 3

Click on "Footnote." Deselect the box next to "Include backward links to the CMS and Artisteer."

  4. 4

Click on "OK." When you export the Artisteer template for use on a site, the Artisteer link and text are no longer displayed.

Tips and warnings

  • If the Artisteer template is already being used on your site, you can also open the theme's "Footer.php" file and manually remove the link; however, this method is only recommended for experienced Web developers, as it involves making modifications to the internal code.
