ChatRoulette is an online video chat system that allows users to chat with random others from around the world. With ChatRoulette, users have no handle, avatar, published location or way to connect with specific people on the network. Users are given a new random chatting partner in a flash video window which can be exchanged for another at any time. To use ChatRoulette, you must have a video camera, microphone and flash installed on your browser.

Instructions

    Plug in and turn on your video camera.

    Log on to the ChatRoulette website. The video "chat flash" program will automatically load in the centre of the screen.

    Click on "Allow" when the small window appears in the centre of the screen asking you if the flash program can have access to your camera. Your image will appear on the lower video screen.

    Press the "Scan" button below the video screen to start streaming your chat video to random people on the ChatRoulette network.
