BAPE (or A Bathing Ape) is a popular Japanese clothing label mostly known for its urban street apparel. BAPE is an international brand popular among celebrities and entertainers. BAPE became so popular that you can even create your own cartoon BAPE character to display as your avatar on your favourite social-networking sites or forums, as a wallpaper for your desktop or cell phone or however you choose. The BAPE character was first seen on Pharrell Williams' "In My Mind" album cover in 2006, which showed a cartoon version of Pharrell dressed in BAPE apparel. Since then, the BAPE characters have become popular, and now you can make your own.
