Little baby towels are ideal for crafting cute animals. Give a fuzzy teddy bear made from a batch of small, hooded baby towels to a mother-to-be at her baby shower. Alternatively, make a miniature towel elephant for a creative bathroom decoration. You can use neutral-coloured towels to make the teddy bear, or make it from colours that coordinate with the shower's colour scheme. Decorate the animal with a satin ribbon bow tie, a bouquet of miniature silk roses or a silk flower behind its ear.

Lay three hooded baby towels on your work surface. Fold each in half lengthwise and then fold them over lengthwise again.
Lay the folded towels side by side with the short ends together to make a long chain of towels. Pin the short edges of the towels to one another with safety pins.
Roll up the joined towels into a jellyroll. Use two safety pins at the end of the roll to keep the jellyroll shape. This makes the body of the bear.
Repeat the above steps with two hooded baby towels to make the bear's head.
Make six individual jellyroll shapes from hooded baby towels.
Attach a small piece of double-sided tape to each of the rolls. Press two of the rolls against the left and right sides of the bottom of the body roll to make the legs. Add a couple of sewing pins.
Press two against the left and right sides of the top of the body roll to make the arms, and add one or two sewing pins. Attach the remaining two rolls to the left and right sides of the top of the head roll to make the ears and add one sewing pin to each.
Slide a sewing pin through the back of the miniature silk roses and insert the pins into the face of the head roll to make the eyes and nose.
Towel Teddy Bear
Lay a baby bath towel on your working surface. Roll the left short end like a jellyroll to the centre of the towel. Roll the right short side like a jellyroll to meet the other roll in the centre.
Bend the rolls into a "U" shape and turn it upside down so that the ends of the rolls are facing downward. Wrap a thin elastic band around the top bend of the "U" to hold it in shape. This is the elephant's body.
Lay the hand towel on your work surface so it is stretched out lengthwise in front of you. Fold the towel in half lengthwise. Rotate the towel to put the folded edge in front of you and fold the left and right corners of the folded edge inward on a diagonal angle. This will form a point at the bottom.
Measure about 2/3 up from the bottom point and insert a small safety pin to hold the rolls in place. Bend the remaining top ends of the towel downward to make large elephant ears. Place the head at the front of the elephant's body and secure it with a safety pin.
Glue on small round pieces of felt to make the elephant's eyes.
