Virtual drum sets are interactive flash movies developed and played on the Internet. Users mouse over images onscreen or tap keys on a keyboard to hear the varying sounds of a complete kit. Virtual drum sets are excellent educational tools for those who want to learn about each component of a drum set. Aspiring drummers can hear what a hi-hat sounds like or listen to the resonance of a floor tom. Designing a virtual drum set is as easy as navigating to a virtual drum set website, adjusting the default settings and customising the drums and cymbals to your own style and needs.
