How to Install VLC in Chrome

VLC is an open source media player that features a plug-in for the Chrome Web browser. VLC supports the playback of most types of audio and video media files. You can install this plug-in directly from your Chrome browser, and the plug-in allows you to open media files directly from Chrome as well.

    Go to the VLC media player home page in Chrome.

    Click the "Download VLC" button. The VLC download will automatically begin.

    Double-click the executable VLC installation file to complete the installation process. VLC will automatically install the plug-in for the Chrome browser as part of the installation process.

    Close the browser, then restart it to ensure the installation process was successful.
