Toothless is the star dragon in "How to Train Your Dragon." Toothless is not really toothless, he has retractable teeth and is therefore able to give the impression of being toothless. Toothless has two sets of wings. One set is located on his back and the second set is located on his tail. He is missing one of his tail wings. Drawing toothless is similar to other dragons, except Toothless' head is rounder and much larger than the triangular shape of other dragons. (See Reference 1)

Things you need
Have an image of Toothless the dragon for reference. Draw an oval to represent the shape of the head. (See Reference 3 for the head and fierce mouth and Reference 1 for everything else)
Create a large oval beneath the head to represent the body. Connect the two ovals with vertical lines for the neck.
Draw a vertical and horizontal line down the centre of the head. Create a crescent shape to represent the mouth, with the top part on the horizontal line. If Toothless is smiling, the crescent shape lines will be close together but, if Toothless is mad, the crescent shape opening should be large to show his teeth.
Add teeth, if there is a large mouth, by drawing half-oval shapes along the inside of the mouth. Draw a "U" in the middle to represent Toothless' tongue.
Add two diagonal lines that slant inward to represent the nostril and two curved lines above to form the nose.
Add ovals for the ears and oval shapes for horns right above the ears. Draw an "m" shape for scales on top of the head. Add small circle scales coming down from the centre of the "m" to the halfway point between the "m" and the nose.
Create almond shapes for the eyes and have them slant toward the nose, and add shaded circles to represent the pupils if Toothless is smiling and thick vertical lines if Toothless is mad.
Sketch in legs by adding cylinder shapes for the legs and ovals for the feet. Erase the shapes connecting lines and add pointed claws to the feet.
Give Toothless a tail by drawing a curved line that extends out from the back of the body. Give the line form by drawing a parallel line and tapering it at the end.
Add a T-shape to create Toothless' wings. Create two coming out from his back and one on the left side at the end of his tail.
Draw four extending lines below the hat of each "T," with each one slightly smaller than the one before. Connect the lines, with a slight curve, to create the wingspan.
Adjust any lines needed, then reinforce the lines by going back over them.
