Instructions

  1. 1

Choose the style of graffiti writing that you want to try. There are two main types of graffiti writing: rigid bricklike letters and bubble letters. Study the style you have chosen by viewing graffiti art in your area or by looking at images online.

  2. 2

Choose a word or phrase that you want to write in graffiti writing. If you are writing in rigid bricklike graffiti writing, create sharp edges on the letters. If you are writing in bubble graffiti writing, create round edges on the letters.

  3. 3

Create letters that are larger than others. In graffiti writing, the sizes of the letters are sometimes uneven. Apply on some areas of the letters to create a 3D effect. Use a pencil to shade.

  4. 4

Use a pencil to darken the lines of the letters and make them stand out. Colour in the graffiti letters with markers or coloured pencils.
